Our Story

Owners Bob & Rhonda Gilde founded the company in 2006. We have over 25 years experience in the industry!

We specialize in marine construction, pile driving, boat docks, bulkheads/sea walls, dredging, staircases and marinas. We also build steel buildings, structural steel and residential foundation piles. We work on all of the area Highland Lakes.

Bob started out in the boat dock construction business at the age of 19; while attending college at ACC. Showing his strong work ethic; he worked full-time and was a full-time college student.

In 2005, Bob accepted an offer to start teaching Welding Technology at Austin Community College in the evenings; while continuing to work full-time building boat docks and starting a new company....soon to be Gilde Welding and Fabrication!
In 2016, Bob retired from teaching at ACC to focus on growing our boat dock business!
We have also been a Wahoo Docks Authorized Dealer for over 12 years!

It has been awhile since the big LBJ flood and I am sure you have been swamped with dock repairs, etc. Of course we were so worried that it may have been severely damaged after just completing it two months before this 100 year flood. I wanted to send you some photos of the amazing amount of debris our dock caught during the high water flow going down Sandy Creek. As far as we can tell we caught it all! Everyone that saw the event or the post flood debris was shocked that our dock was still there much less suffered such minor overall damage. Your Dock Design is built like a Sherman Tank and built to withstand almost anything. Thanks!
